I’m Jess.

Mother, writer, feminist and nerd.

I spend quite a lot of time attempting to write books. One of them, The Bean Jar, is on Amazon now, and all the rest are in a folder on my computer staring at me with rather accusatory glares. Rude.

In my day job I blow whistles at trains and am turning into quite a railway nerd. I’m a fan of symphonic heavy metal and like to go to gigs, drink cocktails, and wax (drunkenly) lyrical about UK rail while singing loudly and tunelessly. Laugh a minute, I can tell you.

I live in Darlington with my lovely husband, Kev, and my tiny tornado of a son, Ted.

I’m awfully prolific on Instagram

Nowadays I even have an author page on Facebook
